How do I know if my shocks are worn?
The giveaway is the car carrying on bouncing after a bump rather than settling in one movement. Uneven tire wear and a floaty feeling at highway speed point the same way. We check them on the hoist rather than guess.
Do shocks and struts have to be replaced in pairs?
Across an axle, yes. A new one on one side and a worn one on the other makes the car pull under braking and wears the tires unevenly. We replace them as a pair so it sits and stops straight.
Will the car need an alignment afterwards?
Often, yes — anything that touches the steering or the geometry can shift it. We will tell you straight whether yours needs one, rather than adding it to the bill by default.
